Mara des Bois Everbearing Strawberry ORGANIC Heirloom Live Plant 2025

MARA DES BOIS STRAWBERRY (Fragaria vesca) is an everbearing French-bred strawberry with wonderful fragrance, an attractive rounded shape, and delicious flavor. Very productive. I have grown these for several years and if you wait for full ripeness, they are unsurpassed with a juicy luscious full flavor. The fruit does not store or ship well, which is why you will not find these in supermarkets. But precisely why specialty chefs, farmers market growers and home gardeners love them! They do kick out runners, so even 3-5 plants in a window-style box will not only provide you with fruit this year, but subsequent new plants for seasons to come. In November 2024 my plants were still producing beautiful juicy berries. And here in Zone 7B they are evergreen through the winter, with no cover. You will get one plant lifted at shipping time bareroot in moist medium in a poly bag. I recommend buying multiples to get you started. Organic. Zones 4-7. I cannot ship live plants to PO Boxes.
