HEAVENLY BLUE MORNING GLORY (Ipomoea tricolor) holds special memories for me from my childhood. A self-seeding annual it is easy to grow and requires little care. It produces masses of exquisite blue flowers with a yellow and white throat. It does require support of some kind for its 7' - 10' vines, though it can be pruned. Deadheading is not necessary, but will increase the blooms. Leave alone toward the end of the season to capture the seeds. Plant when the soil is warm and keep moist until established.
