Asclepias syriaca, commonly known as Common Milkweed, is a native herbaceous perennial plant that thrives in well-drained soils and full sun. It supports so many lives in the garden, but the one that has me the most excited is the Monarch Butterfly as it provides a habitat for egg-laying. This plant is characterized by its large clusters of pink to purple blooms that attract various pollinators. I sprinkled some seeds last Fall resulting in a nice patch that now boasts tall 5' stalks. Biennial grow as an annual. 50 Seeds.
