Large Oil on Canvas Still Life Spring Flowers Framed Signed Ivan Pusecker (1908-1968)

Large Oil on Canvas Still Life Daffodil Daisy Framed Signed Ohio artist Ivan Pusecker (1908-1968). This exquisite 18" x 24" (29" x 25", framed) oil on canvas depicts a sunny vase of yellow daffodils with white and yellow daisies. Behind the flowers in green vase brilliant sunlight shines through a multi pane window casting shadows on the tablecloth. The painting is clean with no visible damage and signed upper left. On the back it appears the original paper backing shows evidence of water, but no damage is visible on the painting itself. Ivan Pusecker (1908-1968) was an influential artist and designer from Columbus, Ohio active in the middle 20th century. On the back of this painting is his name again with a title "German Village." So this was painted over a previous work. He did also paint a "German Village" but on board. At the bottom right on the back is a card sleeve with the title "Spring Flowers." This work has an old card sleeve lower right with the title, “Spring Fowers” with his name and the date 1967 and an original price of $250. The wood frame is wonderful, notched with pale coloration and a "braided" inner border. I am an experienced shipper of fine art and will take great care in packing this fine painting.10
