Mushroom Ornament Inky Cap Papier Mache Hand Made Tag & Box

Mushrooms are magical, colorful, delicious, and often dangerous or even deadly. They deserve your respect and caution. But they are also incredibly beautiful, coming in so many different forms and colors, sometimes changing as they grow. I think they are fascinating! I am offering an array of hand made papier mache ornaments (very lightweight so perfect for your feather tree), each with a hanging cord and id card. Each comes in a gift box as shown. See the specifications below. I make these myself here in the USA. Hope you can also check out the organic mushroom grow kits that I am offering.

The Inky Cap Mushroom is truly bizarre! It comes in many forms and varieties. The Shaggy one depicted here starts out grayish with scales around its bell-shaped cap then it begins to melt -- literally! Makes me think of the Wicked Witch! Turning flatter and blacker as it disintegrates and this happens very quickly after picking, making this problematic for the forager who might wind up with a gooey mess in their basket. Another scary aspect is that it can really make you sick if you drink alcohol. Though edible at the very youngest stage, I say why bother! Measures 2.25” x 1.5”.
