Beautiful antique 19th Century oil on canvas in a somewhat newer carved gilded wooded frame. The beautiful painting is signed lower left "Friend" which I have not been able to definitely identify. The painting shows obvious skill, and has wonderful coloration and form. It displays well, despite a few small areas of breach of the canvas as shown. The canvas measures 24" x 20" and the carved gilded wooden frame measures 29.5" x 25.5". The frame is newer, but not brand new, i.e. may have been added at some point in the earlier 20th C. This painting comes from an old estate and I'm proud to offer.
